Our Pastor
Jessie L. Stewart was raised in the Tulsa area of North Eastern Oklahoma. In 1996, as a 19-year-old, God graciously led him to Tulsa Lighthouse Church (TLC), where he obeyed the plan of salvation and began faithfully serving God. From that time, he submitted himself to God and Pastor Gary Howard and has prepared himself to do God’s will, both spiritually and academically. He and his wife, Billy Jo, were married in 1998 and Jessie began a 20+ year leadership career in Information Technology.
With a burden to reach the lost, they have both applied themselves in the local church in whatever capacity was needed. In 1999, they began holding nursing home services in Glenpool, OK. Four years later, God opened the door to assist Pastor Ed Johnson in the city of Beggs, OK, a church founded by Pastor Gary Howard in the late 60’s. During this time a thriving Sunday School program was established and the church experienced growth.

In 2008, Bro Stewart served as School Administrator for TLC’s school, Lighthouse Christian Academy. While there, the Stewarts also began a daughter work in the rural town of Kellyville, OK.
From 2013 until today, they have served in various capacities at TLC. For some time now, God has dealt with them about missions and they have ministered in the Philippines, Taiwan, China, and Africa.
In 2018, the Stewarts felt the call to the continent of Africa. After making multiple trips to minister there, they have a deep burden to see the work of God expanded in this mission field. With their two children, Ashlynn and Hayden, they have relocated to Johannesburg South Africa to fulfill God’s will as a full-time Pastor and Missionary.
Statement of Faith
The Bible
We believe the Bible is God’s infallible Word and is the only valid source of Christian doctrine. (II Timothy 3:16)
We believe it is God’s revelation of Himself to mankind and also tells us how to live a life that is pleasing to Him. (John 5:39; II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:3)
Godhead
We believe in one God who was “manifest in the flesh” (I Timothy 3:16) and dwells within us. (II Timothy 1:14; John 14:17)
We believe Jesus is the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. (John 5:43, Matthew 1:21-23, John 14:26)
Salvation
We believe that salvation comes only through believing and obeying the Gospel. (Mark 16:15-16)
We believe the Gospel is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. (I Corinthians 15:1-4)
We obey the Gospel by identifying with Jesus Christ in His death through repentance; His burial through baptism in Jesus’ name, and His resurrection when we receive the promised gift of the Holy Ghost. (Acts 2:38, Romans 6:1-11)
APOSTLES’ DOCTRINE
We preach the Apostles’ doctrine (Acts 2:42) and believe in living separated and consecrated lives to our Savior. (Romans 12:1; II Corinthians 6:17)
