Pastor Jessie L. Stewart

— Lighthouse of Truth

Jessie L. Stewart was raised in the Tulsa area of Northeastern Oklahoma. In 1996, as a 19-year-old, God graciously led him to Tulsa Lighthouse Church (TLC), where he obeyed the plan of salvation and began faithfully serving God. From that time, he submitted himself to God and Bishop Gary Howard and has prepared himself to do God’s will, both spiritually and academically. He and his wife, Billy Jo, were married in 1998 and have since served as associate pastor in Beggs, Oklahoma as well as started a church in Kellyville, Oklahoma.

In 2018, the Stewarts felt the call to the continent of Africa. After making multiple trips to minister there, they have a deep burden to see the work of God expanded in this mission field. In 2019 they relocated to the nation of Zimbabwe to begin teaching many pastors who were impacted by the “Thy Word is Truth” seminars conducted by Bishop Greg Riggen.

Later in 2019, they relocated from Zimbabwe to South Africa to fulfill God’s will as a full-time Pastor and Missionary. In 2025, the Mission necessitated the launch of a headquarters church in Johannesburg to reach the lost and to function as a training ground for African leaders and pastors. Their son Hayden and his wife Makayla also labor with them in this exciting endeavor. Our prayer is for the Johannesburg Church to serve as a modern day Antioch for the truth of God’s Word to spread throughout Africa.

Statement of Faith

We hold without compromise to these foundational Pentecostal teachings, which are grounded in the Holy Scriptures.

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God — the complete and final revelation of His will for salvation.

"All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness." 2 Timothy 3:16

The Godhead

We believe in the Oneness of God. The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are one God — manifested in the person of Jesus Christ, who is "the fullness of the Godhead bodily."

"For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily." Colossians 2:9

Salvation

Salvation is by grace through faith, experienced in three steps taught by the Apostle Peter on the day of Pentecost: Repentance, Water Baptism in Jesus' name, and the infilling of the Holy Ghost.

"Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." Acts 2:38

Repentance

Genuine repentance is a change of heart, mind, and direction — turning from sin and turning wholeheartedly to God. It is the first and essential step of salvation.

"But now commandeth all men every where to repent." Acts 17:30

Water Baptism

We baptize by full immersion in the name of Jesus Christ — not in titles — for the remission of sins, as commanded by the Apostles and practiced throughout the New Testament church.

"Be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins." Acts 2:38

Holy Ghost

The infilling of the Holy Ghost is the promise of the Father, the seal of the new covenant, evidenced initially by speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.

"And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance." Acts 2:4
